Gearing up for Camp Shoshanah 2026

Saying "Good-bye" to Paxton, IL
Dear Prayer Partners and Friends,

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts during our travels and for your many kind messages! We have certainly felt prayed for and loved through these last two weeks of transition and we praise the Lord for safe and smooth travels with the kids, terrific weather, and plenty of help from loving friends and family in packing our U-haul, cleaning our old house, and unloading into Ariel Ministry's house in NY.  So thankful to AnnaMae and Gregory for helping us drive our mini-van and U-haul truck out here. It took two days (thank you Katanic family for dinner and our overnight stay in Ohio!), and was made seamless by those extra hands! We felt so loved by all those who showed up on Pine Street to help us pack or who stopped in during our last couple days to say goodbye or to pray with us. So grateful for you all. Our family has also felt very warmly welcomed by everyone here in NY: at Camp Shoshanah, at Westport Bible Church (which we have begun regularly attending), and of course by our family living nearby, who we are so happy to see and spend time with. Many of you have sent messages or called us to make sure we were settling in okay - a big Thank You to all of you! Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to our family as we begin a new season in ministry.

We have hit a few snags in trying to complete our vehicle registration and transferring our bank account, etc. Please pray that we will be able to complete these "house-keeping" tasks smoothly.

Exploring the spring behind our house

We have been grateful to have a full week to settle in and unpack and to get familiar with the surrounding property and area. Our kids are LOVING spending time outdoors, playing in the creek, and catching salamanders. So glad they love to be outside.

Celebrating our Wedding Anniversary in Lake Placid!
(June 2nd marks 8 years)

Benjamin officially started work on June 1st. This month he will be getting the kitchen set up, cleaned, and stocked for Camp and finalizing the menu and staff schedules. He will also begin cooking this week for the volunteers already on campus. Some volunteers have already arrived and are working hard to get classrooms and grounds ready for the students to arrive after July 4th weekend. We have student lists and are beginning to pray for God to be at work this summer through His Word and His workers to speak to people's minds and hearts and draw them closer to Him. Camp will continue through Labor Day weekend. Megan will be volunteering as an assistant in the children's classes this summer and our children will be participating in classes as well. This will be a busy season for our family!

Please continue to pray with us for the teachers, students, and workers at Camp Shoshanah this summer. The purpose of Ariel Ministries and of Camp Shoshanah is "to share the good news of Messiah with the Jewish people and to disciple both Jewish and Gentile believers through intensive Bible teaching from a Messianic Jewish perspective." We pray that God's Spirit will be actively at work in and through those at Camp this summer, that the teachers will be able to speak with wisdom and strength, and that spiritual growth will occur.

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Romans 1:16

Thank you for following along with our more-than-quarterly updates this season. We've wanted to keep you informed as this adventure begins, but do not plan to send more than quarterly updates in the future.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer! Praying God's peace and blessing for you,
